Software Engineer (Applications)

Masimo (NASDAQ: MASI) is a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures innovative noninvasive patient monitoring technologies, including medical devices and a wide array of sensors.

As a Software Engineer for Applications, you will design and develop an integral suite of database objects and Windows client applications for clinical data collection activities. You will create user interfaces, server applications and all supporting database elements using a variety of tools and platforms.

**Minimum Qualifications** - Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities - Experience with hands-on development using object oriented techniques - Strong working knowledge of multiple development environments - Strong working knowledge of multiple languages (C++, Java) and database servers - Strong database programming and design experience - Solid understanding of relational database modeling and design - Experience with clinical/medical databases or with HL7 or other health system integration will be a plus - Prior experience in the design and development of medical devices, accessories, or consumables will be a plus - Ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Education** - BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science **Physical requirements/Work Environment** This position primarily works in an office environment but will spend a fair amount of time in a production environment. Must be able to travel both domestic and international including Mexico on a periodic basis. The ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand or sit for extended periods and require being able to lift/carry up to 50 Lbs.
