Studios: Visual Effects Artist

Mashable is looking for a self-starting, innovative visual effects artist with a strong background in compositing, visual effects, motion graphics, illustration as well as some experience with graphic design or animation to join the Mashable Studios team creating short-form original series.

You see a challenge and know exactly how to make it work, like putting together a puzzle, all while coordinating with the directors and producers to create creatively stunning visuals in a timely manner.

* Demonstrated production experience with all elements of multimedia development including visual effects, green screen compositing, motion graphics, animation, interactive media, pre-production and post-production * Intermediate to advanced understanding of Adobe CC production tools: After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator, (Experience with 3D, Maya, Cinema 4D a plus but not required) * An understanding of using social media professionally * Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment * Highly organized (especially digitally) * Maintain or exceed expected productivity levels while meeting strict deadlines and producing high quality work * Passionate for visual art and technology * Strong communication skills * Hard working with a fantastic attitude and team mentality * Visual effects reel and portfolio of any graphic design work * Based in LA and available to start full-time
