Summary
The Marsh Risk Consulting practice is seeking a senior level consultant to provide ergonomics solutions to meet our clients’ needs. The Sr. Consultant is directly responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with various sized clients. This individual would provide comprehensive ergonomics consulting services to clients, cross sell Marsh and Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) products and services when appropriate. The ideal candidate would have an extensive knowledge of ergonomics subject matter, understating of client industries, a broad knowledge of insurance, and knowledge of the range of Marsh resources. This role reports to the Marsh Ergonomics Practice Leader, and will be the team leader on multiple client projects, while mentoring other ergonomics team consultants.
Responsibilities
**Client Service:** * Responsible for proposing, budgeting, managing, and providing ergonomics services to a vast array of Marsh clients * Successfully maintain ergonomics engagements with large corporations * Develop client specific service plans and scopes of work * Create and deliver ergonomics sales presentations that generate new and expanded revenue * Provide innovative ideas to enhance current ergonomics tools and develop future service offerings * Assist Marsh’s brokers (client executives) with communicating to clients and prospects the value of engaging MRC’s ergonomics and safety services * Assist with the internal and external networking and marketing of the ergonomics practice * Conduct ergonomics task analyses with and without risk quantification tools and provide clients with timely recommendation reports to mitigate risk factors * Provide quality assurance of insurance carrier and private consultants’ loss control services * Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of occupational ergonomics for a vast array of Marsh’s clients in industries including: office, industrial, financial, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, healthcare, retail, and life sciences * Competently train and present to personnel at all levels of an organization including senior management, front line management, and employees * Prepare documents and represent the MRC practice at Request for Proposal engagements * Enhance case management programs and physical demands assessments by creating and/or accurately updating functional job descriptions * Use facilitative and diagnostic skills to assist clients in the mitigation of complex loss cost sources * Lead client implementation service teams, suggest key performance indicators, and measure results * Exhibit competency in leading and presenting on topics such as: office ergonomics, industrial ergonomics, task analyses, 5S, body mechanics, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and lean manufacturing/production * Familiarity with the NIOSH Lift Equation, 3DSSPP, Push/Pull tables, RULA, REBA and/or other risk quantification tools **Project Management:** * Responsible for developing and managing profitable project budgets, as well as negotiating changes * Responsible for meeting project milestones and deadlines Responsible for accurately delivering value added services based on client needs * Responsible for constructing Statements of Work that define the scope of services to be provided and the associated fees * Complies with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting and billing **Communications:** * Effectively delivers complex written and oral communications, such as proposals, technical concepts and ergonomics presentations * Comfortable with presentations of any length of time to audiences of any size via live sessions and webinar sessions * Creates templates or other written materials to be utilized by other consulting colleagues **Business Acumen:** * 8 plus years’ experience in the brokerage/insurance carrier arena delivering ergonomics and/or safety services * Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) required * Competency with Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and familiarity with Access

* 8+ years of relevant experience * Bachelors’ degree and appropriate experience also acceptable; Masters’ degree preferred * Project management experience * Identify problems and apply solutions * Seeks opportunities to continuously develop and expand skill set * Participates in a team environment while providing feedback and idea sharing * Involved in external associations to contribute skills and enhance technical abilities * Openly shares information and own expertise with Marsh Risk Consulting to accomplish goals and expand the skills of others * Excellent Communications (Oral and Written) * Develops and maintains client relationships * Develops and closes business opportunities * Proficient in company sanctioned software and systems, as well as relevant use of Internet * Attention to detail * Proficient in the English language (speaking, reading and writing) * Travel required (domestic and international travel possible)
