Summary
We’re in the business of making the financial world friendlier, and we’re looking for energetic designers who can geek out about data and ways to present it to regular humans. You’ll be exposed to a plethora of unique projects and challenges from clients located both domestically and around the world.
Responsibilities
• As an experienced designer on the team you’ll find yourself taking the reigns on projects, informing the design, and providing direction and mentorship to a small team of enthusiastic creative • Collaborate with an amazing lineup of other really smart people — developers, engineers, financial analysts, and project managers — who eagerly bring their unique perspectives to solving problems. • Delegate responsibilities to junior designer on an as need basis • Serve as the point person on site at client meetings
Ideal Candidate
* University graduate or equivalent * Must have at least 3-5 years designing user experiences, interfaces and data Experience leading projects and mentoring team members as well as presenting concepts and communicating with clients * An appreciation for face-to-face client interaction, and an appetite for travel both domestically and abroad. * A candidness for respectful collaboration with team members and clients * The ability to shape a concept and translate that to a design solution through the use of sketches, diagrams, * wireframes, visual designs, and interactive pieces * The basics — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Familiarity with HTML and CSS would be super helpful.) * A general knowledge of interactive prototyping techniques and tools * An enthusiasm for data visualization and designing for data * Some experience designing for transactional applications or complex workflows is helpful, as well as visualization design for large, fast datasets * A desire for personal and professional growth and learning * Ability to collaborate and lead a team of designers on projects providing creative direction and mentorship. * Confident Individual – able to represent the team at various levels. * Ability to multi task and delegate responsibilities * Strong communication and presentation skills * Customer Focused * Open minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations. * Must be a good communicator both written and verbally for this role is also customer facing aside from engaging with internal core teams. * Must be able to work in a team environment.
