Financial Analyst

MarketSource is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. We are seeking a motivated, team oriented person who will be responsible for the analysis of financial performance within its Commercial, Automotive, or Retail segments.

• Assist in preparation of budgets, monthly forecasts, financial reports and variance explanations for respective programs
• Monitor segment and program adherence to approved budgets and provide sales & margin analysis as & when necessary
• Review program P&L’s with the respective program managers
• Assist in training for the Program Managers on finance & accounting principles
• Profitability analysis of ongoing projects
• Month-end close responsibilities, revenue accruals, & expense tracking
• Collect monthly billings from programs & review for billing process
• Process monthly billings from programs & collect on Accounts Receivable
• Audit weekly expense, travel, & payroll reports for programs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Ability to coordinate and successfully complete multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to effectively communicate with multiple layers of management.
• Ability to make decisions utilizing proper analytical tools
• Ability to work effectively as an accountable member on a diverse team
• Necessary problem solving skills to complete complex tasks on time
• Able to analyze, understand and explain variance reports
• Possess necessary skills to learn and understand finance structure of organization
• Ability to communicate to a diverse audience in non financial terms.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel including (vlookups, macros and linking)
• Ability to expand business knowledge beyond requirements of current responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business required concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 0 to 2 years financial analysis experience or accounting experience preferred
• Recent college graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Required to work core business hours of approximately 8:30-5:30 may be required to work additional hours as needed
• Performs additional job duties as assigned
