Summary
This position is part of the Payroll team and will initially assist on the 2-year implementation of CATS (SAP Timekeeping) into refineries and will serve as a backup for coordinating the weekly payroll closings. The employee will work closely with Human Resources consultants and timekeepers in the field as well as those in the Findlay office. The candidate should have, or be willing to acquire, a working knowledge of SAP Payroll and be proficient in Excel and Word. The candidate will also need to become knowledgeable of the Company pay policies and practices and become familiar with the vacation, sick and permissible absence policies as they apply to payroll.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the implementation of CATS (SAP Timekeeping) into refineries which are currently using an in house developed system that is being decommissioned. * Review refinery union contracts and non-union hourly pay practices to understand pay rules and processes. * Assist with handling the production support for the refineries already converted. * Work with outside consultants to developed project deadlines. * Assist with processing payroll on a weekly basis – The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all steps in the payroll closing process are completed, including time collection and evaluation, posting to accounting, printing of checks and stubs, third party posting, and transmission of files to banks. * Maintains and/or updates Payroll's TeamView site. * Works with HR-IT support to create, test and implement new work schedules in SAP. * Generates SAP payroll and time reports. * Provides company-wide functional expertise regarding payroll/time related issues. * Creates SAP training material and provides training when necessary. * Provides functional testing of payroll and time configuration changes in SAP.
