Summary
This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the support, development and enhancement of IT applications utilized by the Human Resources and Administrative Services organization within Marathon Petroleum Company. The candidate will primarily be partnering with Human Resources clients to leverage IT solutions to meet business objectives. This role includes working closely with clients to perform various levels of business analysis, project management, and application integration, configuration, and development. This position also offers opportunities in taking leadership roles, collaborating with a team of IT professionals, and gaining exposure to SAP configuration, in addition to traditional application technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to analyze business problems from conceptual to solution implementation. - Experience with SAP/Success Factors required. - Analyze, design, develop, test, modify, implement and support programs or systems, including in-house developed and purchased applications to support the business units. - Maintain and develop a working knowledge of programming languages, system design concepts, and analysis techniques in our environment. - This position will also involve configuration of the SAP Human Capital Management module. - Understand and apply appropriate project and system development methodologies to ensure a timely and cost effective solution. - Understand the security and compliance requirements of applications and client areas and utilize appropriate methods, controls, and documentation. - Contribute and assist in assignments in a diverse team environment to ensure solutions are implemented in a consistent manner and proper collaboration is in place across IT in general. - Help set the strategic direction for applications within Human Resources and Administrative Services.
