Principal Test Engineer

ManTech was founded in 1968 to provide advanced technological services to the United States government. We began with a single contract with the U.S. Navy to develop war-gaming models for the submarine community. Over the years, our government's technology needs have increased dramatically in scope and sophistication, and we have grown to meet that challenge.

The Test Engineer defines and develops test standards for raw materials, manufactured products, or manufacturing processes in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Reviews and evaluates complex test specifications, test results, test trends and implements corrective action as needed. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve problems that cause test failures. Provides management with feedback on test trends, returns and vendor performance. May provide work leadership to lower level employees.

* Reviewing change documentation, including test plans, and reproducing test results in a controlled lab environment * Providing guidance, examples, and input for test plans at the beginning of a system integration/development process * Managing a test management schedule together with an overall release management schedule * Experience reviewing requirement documents and design plans and identifying applicable test scenarios

* Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience. * Individual should be ITIL v3 certified with an emphasis on Service Design and Service Transition * Individual must meet requirements for an IAT Level 2 or higher position according to DoD 8570. Security+ CE is an example * Individual must have a strong background in core Microsoft windows technologies, Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of applications and virtualization for the purposes of developing test cases
