Technical Support Specialist

In 2000, Teach for America alumnus and Yale graduate Zeke Vanderhoek had a radical idea: students learn better from better teachers. His vision of what test prep could be if taught by great educators led him to assemble a team of highly qualified teachers, recruiting only those with 99th percentile scores and substantial teaching experience. And with them, Manhattan Prep was born.

We are seeking a part-time Technical Support Specialist to provide technical support to staff and customers. You will provide phone, email, and in-person support for our online classroom software, interactive class recordings, and practice exam testing software.

You will also be responsible for assisting in the operations of the company’s internal networks and supporting the company’s professional staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical, communication, and customer service skills. As a Technical Support Specialist you’ll gain hands-on experience in a quickly-expanding small company environment. We’re seeking a candidate to work weekday evenings and rotating weekend shifts, 15-20 hours per week.

* You have a strong technical background including experience within a Windows environment * You have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. * You provide outstanding customer service. * You have knowledge of networking, client/server technologies, LAN/WAN, and desktop operating systems. * You have the ability to review, edit, and produce technical documents and deliverables. * You can apply technical knowledge in a logical progression to diagnose customer problems. * You are detail-oriented and extremely responsible.
