Site Reliability Manager

We’re looking for a Site Reliability Manager to join the team. An ideal candidate has a strong technical background, management skills, and communication expertise. The manager will help hire, mentor, and build the team, continuing to motivate their Engineers to keep moving full speed ahead at the highest standards of work.

* Manage, guide, and motivate a team of 5 software engineers and performance engineers * Ensure open lines of communication within the team, and between the team and the company at large * Ensure that teams throughout the company receive necessary resources and support from SRE * Collect feedback from other teams and departments and resolve any technical gaps, debt, concerns, or bumps in MailChimp’s infrastructure * Work with MailChimp’s recruiters to grow the team

* 3 or more years of technical experience * 5 or more years experience managing a team * Proficient in JIRA (or other task/project based software) and Linux/bash/programming language(s) * Some travel required for recruiting events and conferences * Excellent written/oral communication skills
