Responsibilities
The Consultant on M Benefit Solutions’ Consulting Services team plays a key role in the marketing of executive benefit plans. This is accomplished through leveraging software to create life insurance illustrations, model benefit plans, and create financial exhibits; this is followed by completing sophisticated analyses of these illustrations and providing well-conceived recommendations regarding plan design, carrier selection, and product selection and configuration. Of vital importance in this role is the capability to successfully manage relationships with Joint Venture Partners and insurance carriers, including negotiating with carriers to deliver optimal financing designs and underwriting efforts. Also critical to success will be your ability to act as a hub to ensure work from other departments is coordinated for the timely and accurate completion of marketing proposals. Other areas of focus will be to research, write, and publish white papers and other marketing pieces on benefit plan design, COLI products, and related topics; the development of communications to further joint venture relationships; and assisting in the evaluation and implementation of new marketing initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance or related field * Seven or more years of related experience in actuarial, accounting, or insurance preferred. Nonqualified benefit plan experience a plus. * Excellent mathematical and financial skills. * Strong computer skills including the use of Word and PowerPoint * Advanced Excel skills * Exceptional project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, simultaneous projects * Ability to work effectively as a member of a team as well as independently. * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions * Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to translate technical material into user-friendly communications * Knowledge of marketing strategies and demonstrated skills in marketing research
