Summary
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for driving the development and creation of integrated marketing communications in partnership with internal marketing clients. The Marcom Manager will work with segment managers and product marketing to understand objectives and strategies to help optimize and effectively execute their programs/plans. Working with the creative resources and agencies, the Marcom Manager will ensure delivery of fully integrated, multi-channel, high-impact marketing tactics that are implemented to meet strategic goals. They will ensure that tactics are consistent across channels, aligned to the Lytx brand standards, and delivered on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
* The Marketing Communications Manager must function as a team player, building strong relationships with all team members. Effectiveness in this role requires a thorough working knowledge of the marketing communications process, and consistent focus on finding better ways to develop highly impactful and effective marketing communications. The job involves work situations of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity. The Marcom Manager will need to exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine the best course of action. This position interacts with all levels of internal personnel and requires confident and professional communication and organizational skills. * The Marketing Communications Manager will possess deep subject matter expertise, strong analytic skills, and very strong ability to manage and prioritize projects and responsibilities. They must be able to clarify objectives, identify issues, find solutions, and execute all tasks with attention to detail and to timeliness. The role requires communications and project management tracking, in collaboration with internal and external business partners. The Marcom Manager will bring marketing communications and content best practices to bear, to coach, and guide clients on the most impactful marketing techniques and channels to accomplish their goals and deliver ROI. They will drive delivery of projects, and report on status, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Finally, a continual focus on process improvement will be an important aspect as well. **Key Duties & Responsibilities:** * Proven track record of impeccable project management skills, and the ability to simultaneously manage a large number of tactics * Extensive experience working through the creative development process, including working with creative resources, agencies, freelancers, and internal business partners * Ability to understand business strategies and translate them to marketing communications strategies (expected outcomes, key selling points, value propositions, etc.) * Deep understanding of marketing communications and content development process * Strong ability to develop highly effective marketing materials within brand style guidelines * Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently * Able to work effectively in a matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems/processes * Stays on top of best practices for optimizing marketing and content strategies * Provides strategic input into the planning process * Resourceful in solving problems; good judgment * In partnership with the agency, developing and maintaining brand standards * Proven track record of excellent written & verbal communications * Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail * Self-motivated, engaged, and accountable * Team player with excellent people skills * Must thrive while working with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders * Must work effectively in a matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems and processes * Must have highly effective mechanisms for tracking and communicating project status * Must be self-motivated, engaged, and accountable * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* At least 8 eight years of marketing experience, three of which are in marketing communications, agency project management, or similar role * Proven track record of impeccable project management skills, and the ability to simultaneously manage a large number of tactics * Extensive experience working through the creative development process, including working with creative resources, agencies, freelancers, and internal business partners * Extensive experience in translating business strategies into marketing communications strategies (expected outcomes, key selling points, value propositions, etc.) * Deep understanding of marketing communications and content development process * Strong experience and ability to develop highly effective marketing materials within brand style guidelines * Demonstrated ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems/processes * Very knowledgeable and stays abreast of best practices for optimizing marketing and content strategies * Evaluating creative based upon brand standards * Proven track record of excellent written & verbal communications * Must thrive while working with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders * Must work effectively in a matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems and processes * Must have highly effective mechanisms for tracking and communicating project status * Must be self-motivated, engaged, and accountable
