Summary
The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is seeking a skilled marketer and enthusiastic storyteller to manage online marketing campaigns for LA Phil, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Hollywood Bowl digital properties, including email, social media, web, and mobile. This person will be responsible for social media and email deployment, analysis, and reporting. This position works closely with many departments in the organization including advertising, promotions, sales, direct marketing, audience services, education, artistic, development, publications, and PR.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement online marketing campaigns to improve and sustain LA Phil sales, online traffic, and brand-building. * Create and manage social media calendar: Writing posts, content creation, and managing contests on social sites. Interface with other departments to feature content such as events and “behind the scenes” glimpses to our audience. * Write, manage, and deploy emails: Bi-weekly newsletters, targeted communications to key demographics, and other announcements as necessary. Devise and refine email strategy for maximum ROI, customer service, and engagement. Advise other departments on best practices for email. Coordinate deployment throughout the organization to ensure that no patron is getting spammed. * Interface with other arts and entertainment organizations for digital marketing trades and co-promotions. * Liaise with artists, booking agents, and artist managers to place concert-centric messaging on their websites and social media. * Responsible for digital analytics on an ongoing basis and in monthly reports, , with a focus on sales, traffic, and conversions, including proposed improvements to our programs. * Manage digital marketing and ticketing vendors. Oversee campaign development and monitor performance. * Act as a key member of LA Phil’s digital team responsible for determining and planning online marketing and digital initiatives overall blueprint. * Project-manage digital marketing initiatives as needed, including product changes, marketing plan, advertising messaging and reporting. Previous projects included: Webby award-winning Orchestra VR/VAN Beethoven Social Photos and marketing plan, Inside the Music game/ticketholder engagement, and ConcertMaster recommendation tool. * Support new season launches, including website scheduling, proofing protocols, and content creation, management, and delivery. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* B.A. in related field of study preferred. * 3-5 years experience in digital marketing. * Accomplished digital marketer fervent about telling stories about the organization, our concerts and history. * Skilled in coordinating information, copy writing and editing, proofreading, fact checking, research and/or writing. * Expertise and interest in social media trends and email communications. * Familiarity with Drupal, WordPress, or similar digital content management systems. * Analytical skills; Ability to assess success of marketing campaigns in action as well as in retrospect. * Ability to master new concepts quickly and adapt to emerging practices. * Experience with social media analytics, Google Analytics, and/or similar application. * High awareness of new technologies, digital trends, and innovations. * Music, arts, entertainment, and/or non-profit background a plus. * Excellent communications skills. * Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and cooperate with a wide range of personalities. Avid about staying on schedule.
