Senior Process Development Scientist / Engineer (Downstream)

* Responsible for assessing the impact to process and product from deviations occurring during large scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing. * Uses in-depth knowledge and experience to solve complex scientific problems and to consult with customers * Performs and is able to understand and interpret all types of complex data analysis, such as multiple linear regression analysis, ANOVA and multivariate analysis. * Designs comprehensive programs or studies to identify root cause. Leads multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing solutions * Mentors and trains junior team members. * Represents Lonza at conferences as an industry subject matter expert. * Identify process changes and Assess impact of process / equipment or procedural changes that can affect both process performance and product quality. * Expertise in international regulations and guidelines, can provide advice to others * Provides written summaries of investigations.

* Ph.D. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or biology or equivalent education and at least 12 years of experience in industry, or * M.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or biology or equivalent education and at least 15 years of experience in industry, or * B.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or biology or equivalent education and at least 18 years of experience in industry * Advanced understanding of cGMP regulations and manufacturing processes * Excellent writing skills
