Summary
Typical responsibilities include designing, developing, and integrating hardware systems to support on-going laboratory development.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities include leading low risk, variable complexity, controls, processors, and displays related aircraft level design, acquisition, integration and test activity projects. * General responsibilities include support for proposal preparations, requirements definitions, technical subcontract management, addressing risks & opportunities, integration and test (including creating test procedures and reports). * Position will interact with staff personnel inside the Avionics and Software PFT (Program Functional Team) on technical and program management matters, and coordinate between multiple organizations. * Position will develop state of the art, real-time, man-in-the-loop fighter and airlift simulations for laboratory hardware development in the LM Aero Simulation and Systems Integration Laboratories. * Duties may include performing installations of flight test data acquisition equipment, sensors, and harnesses, and supporting the shop during manufacturing of parts. * Perform other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline. * Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance **Desired skills** * Prior experience in a related industry preferred. * Demonstrated specific knowledge, coursework, or project experience with Controls, Processors, Displays, or Memory Storage Device technology. * Demonstrated understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques applicable to the development and integration of aircraft Feedback Control Systems * Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment. * Demonstrated experience in hardware design and the ability to analyze complex technical problems
