Responsibilities
* Perform power electronics/power supply designs and develop engineering prototype as proof of design concepts. * Perform system power calculations, power distribution design and load analysis * Troubleshoot system failures and perform system failure analysis/power failure analysis * Knowledgeable of analog design and digital design principles * Knowledgeable of VME, PCIe, VPX form factors/standards * Cognizant engineer of wide range of COTs products
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Electrical Engineer with Digital design experience with Firmware development experience in VHDL or Verilog * Knowledgeable of Altera and Xilinx product line * Knowledgeable of analog and power design concepts and principles * Considered entry level or have an interest in becoming a hardware architect however with emphasized design in digital * Motivated and self-starting * Can take a design & product from cradle to grave (requirements to production) * Excellent troubleshoot/failure analysis skills * Familiar with IPC specs and standards for board designs (J-STD-001, J-STD-005, J-STD-006, IPC-A-610) * Can perform design simulation in PSPICE or similar tools **Desired skills** * In addition to the digital specialty, Analog and/or Power design experience would be plus * Knowledgeable of how to perform a board layout is a plus but not required. * Knowledgeable of Digital Signal Processing * Know how to use Zuken CR-5000, Zuken E3, AutoCAD
