As Manager, Email & CRM, you’ll be leading the team and strategy of one of the world’s largest commercial email senders. Using our millions of commerce-focused customers and hundreds of thousands of local merchants, we work to provide unique, engaging promotional campaigns. We’re looking for innovative and entrepreneurial leaders to help us redefine our promotional email strategy. Our ideal candidate should be a competitive, analytical business leader who feels as comfortable talking about deliverability and Hadoop as they do about subject lines and KPIs.
Responsibilities
* Own and be accountable for revenue and KPI goals for the company’s largest channel, manage team of 5+ reports and be a part of the broader marketing leadership team * Lead our efforts to create more relevant and personalized push messaging to our database of over 20 million consumers * Work across functional lines with data science, analytics, sales and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions that positively impact the overall business * Plan, implement, and analyze cross-channel marketing campaigns focused on improving the profitability of each user segment * Help define and execute our customer segmentation strategy and related messaging * Drive customer engagement strategy from best practices and serve as the internal champion * Deeply understand our unique assets and leverage them to dream up the next disruptive feature, product or business with email * Own the ideation process and conversion to a product roadmap for mass email marketing * Define features and experiments to ship during every sprint and rapidly scale the winning ones. Our fuel is learning from experiments and applying them to our product roadmap, create engaging user experiences within email by analyzing the usage data and conducting usability studies
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years proven track record of deep involvement within email and CRM * Thought leader in email marketing, with a heavy emphasis on CRM * Thorough understanding of social media and vertical markets, interest and drive in redefining email marketing for one of the largest commercial senders worldwide * Solid understanding of conversion funnels and testing, strong project management skills, knowledge of best practices, strategies, and industry standards around email marketing * Entrepreneurial. Our teams are run like small startups. You must love competing by building great products * Willingness to work hard driving solutions to complex problems through processes and systems * Great leadership and communication skills. You must have previous experience navigating and being successful in a constantly changing organization * Love of LivingSocial and what we’re trying to accomplish
