Product Design Director (UX)

Livefyre is seeking a dynamic product design leader to build a world-class enterprise SaaS platform with over 300 million end-users worldwide. We are looking for someone who can take charge mentoring the UX team, leading a user-centered design process and launching innovative new products with fast, data-driven optimization cycles. The company highly values the strategic role design plays in winning customers and leading the market in mobile, social, big data, enterprise and high volume SaaS web applications. You will report directly to the VP of Product and be responsible for all design decisions across the platform. The ideal candidate is an industry thought leader with a deep empathy for the everyday struggles and challenges of the end user and is unwavering in providing the best possible experiences for our customers.

* Champion the customer-centric vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience design across the organization to ensure a consistent, compelling and evolving customer experience * Direct the entire design team by defining process, principles, vision and mission in addition to day-to-day mentoring * Manage design projects from concept to pixel-perfect execution * Apply user-centered design practices to create simple-to-use and engaging product experiences * Build strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization * Partner with product management to define the problems/solutions, requirements and prioritization * Thoughtfully rationalize your design decisions taking into account technical limitations and business priorities * Participate in conceptual design of future generation versions of the products * Serve as a product evangelist with Marketing, Sales, and the go-to-market organizations to help them understand the vision, roadmap, and best practices

* Self-motivated and solid conceptual design skills, a broad, functionally creative view of the world * Expert in UX problem solving, including strategy > research > usability > interaction > visual design * Excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal and persuasion skills * Demonstrate a working knowledge of interaction principles, patterns, and trends * Expert in UI Design, Information Architecture, and Conceptual Design with a passion for clean and functional design * Expert in Sketch, Adobe Creative suite, InVision and other prototyping tools * Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and some JavaScript is preferred * Experience with Mobile UI and responsive design * 8+ years experience in Software Design * 3+ years experience in enterprise SaaS/cloud based product design * 3+ years experience managing and inspiring a dynamic collaborative design team * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design or similar degreed)
