Full Stack Engineer

The Role:

Be part of a growing UI Engineering team tasked to introduce Node.js into a multi-billion dollar engine. We are looking for passionate, modern day UI engineers who understand that building complex web experiences means fully owning the web application server.

The UI engineering mindset and toolbox has radically advanced over the last couple years. We are embracing this change by redefining our whole UI architecture, using modern open source libraries (including, but not limited to, Node.js, npm, Gulp, Mocha, Handlebars, Less, etc). We are looking for people who also support this movement and want to be part of our mission to transform the banking system. We have a unique opportunity for you to bring your talent and passion to drive a massive change in how we build user experiences across all of our product lines and how consumers interact with the Lending Club platform.

• 5+ years building web experiences with a focus on UI/Front-end Solid understanding of JavaScript architectures and building advanced web experiences
• Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha) HTML templating (Mustache, Handlebars, etc).
• CSS Preprocessor such as SASS or LESS.
• Exposure to Node, NPM, Gulp, Grunt, Backbone, Bootstrap, Browserify Knowledge of common engineering concepts (algorithms, design patterns, and modularization)
• Expertise with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.
• Working with REST API web services

Bonus Points:

• Past experience with Angular, Backbone and other JavaScript frameworks.
• You understand JavaScript isn't just for building UI and you're not afraid to embrace it.
• You believe you were a designer in a past life but now you would rather collaborate with them
