We are looking for a Mid-Level Engineer to work in our Boston or New York office, working with other talented, creative team members with a passion to build cutting-edge technology.
Successful candidate will be highly driven and self-motivated, possess strong technical, analytical and communication skills, be comfortable working both independently and in high performance team environments under tight deadlines.
- Work with a highly skilled engineering team in all phases of Agile development process from design to deployment
- Build reliable software for advertising technology infrastructure, processing and aggregating high volumes of events in realtime and near-realtime
- Mentor junior developers
- Write unit tests as part of all new coding
- Write software to query and update SQL and no sql databases, as well as investigate data issues
- Develop quality products and highly available services
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Good SQL knowledge
- Experience writing and designing object-oriented software in languages such as Java, Ruby on Rails, Python, etc.
- Experience with unit testing a plus
- Self-starter who can work with minimal guidance but strong communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Must have a passion to learn new technologies
