Senior Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Applications

The Senior Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Applications is responsible for engineering, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining internal and external messaging platforms (O365). The position requires an individual with a strong background in Microsoft operating systems, patch management, administrative task automation, virtualization, and other related items.

* Acts as a technical lead in the design and installation of production and internal systems * As a member of the Infrastructure Applications team, manages existing hardware and software configurations, including participating in 24x7 on-call rotation * Creates documentation for the environment and tracks all change * Installs new software releases and system upgrades; evaluates and installs patches; and resolves software-related problems * Monitors, Maintains and restores Backups for all Corporate Servers. * Proactively monitors server health for reporting, administration and alerting * Builds and Supports automation of Operating System Deployment for Workstations and Servers * Proactively manages and supports all software environments, such as development, test, training, and production instances for size, performance, patch versions, etc. * Identifies and resolves errors or problems applications in the environment * Contributes to a healthy interpersonal and team-oriented environment * Is customer service minded and develops and maintains cordial, effective partnerships with business area and other Information Technology and Services employees * Supervises vendor performance and contractor resources and ensures they are performing competently and that LifePoint is receiving services aligned with contractual terms and conditions * Ensures that LifePoint best practices are followed for the delivery, implementation and maintenance of systems by employees and contractors

* Exchange 2010/2013 Administration * Office 365 Administration and Support * System Center Tools (Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, Orchestrator, etc.) * Ensure that the appropriate agents and tools are installed in the environment for administration * Windows Operating System support * Integrates SaaS, PaaS and related technologies for offsite Solutions and Infrastructure * Application Security, Support, Remediation and Troubleshooting * Scripting and Automation (VBScript, Batch Script, PowerShell, JavaScript, Orchestrator) * Directory Management and Integration with complex use cases **Experience, Education and Special Certifications:** * 7+ years of engineering application implementation, administration, and support experience * Experience with O365 core applications * Strong O365 Architecture Design and Support in an Enterprise environment. * Migrations in Exchange and/or migrations and hybrid migrations to O365 * Understanding of Public Folder, Calendar and PST migration complexities * Lync * Active Directory * Federation Services * Active Sync * PowerShell * Strong Windows Server (2003,2008,2012) administration preferred **Physical Demands/Working Conditions:** * - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
