Mechanical Engineer

Emissions and service monitoring. Safety monitoring. Fuel economy efficiencies. Traffic controls. Automatic brake controls. Self-parking systems. Crash-avoidance technology. Dozens upon dozens of engine variations. The desire for better automobiles and higher standards creates a need for streamlined, high-performing engineering processes and technologies.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing technical activities on a variety of projects related to electro-mechanical, aerospace, and robotic systems. Tasks include organizing and executing research, risk reduction development activities, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Strong communication skills are required as this position will entail direct engagement with project teams, technicians, and vendors. The Mechanical Engineer will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team that is formed to achieve a project's particular goals.

* B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. * Two to Seven years' work experience, which may include college internships, designing, building, and prototyping complex electro-mechanical systems * U.S. citizenship is required **DESIRED:** * CAD design experience using SOLIDWORKS or Pro/Engineer * Experience with aircraft composites and advanced materials * Hands on experience building test setups and prototype hardware * Experience using LabVIEW based data acquisition systems
