Responsibilities
* Manage projects that involve systems replacement, service expansion, analysis, design, vendor interaction, implementation, training, and follow up as assigned by the Telecommunications Manager. * Liaise in a positive and productive manner with the respective network functions at the plant locations. * Be aware of emerging security threats and technology, recommend and implement new network security capabilities, work with the ISS Security team to develop and maintain a high level of security. * Manage the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network related hardware, software, and communications links (some via third party providers). * Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner (L2/L3 support), and provide end user training where required. * Manage supplier partners, participating/leading projects and small enhancement/cutover teams, working closely with business and application representatives throughout all phases of Implementations, and driving resolution of support issues.
Ideal Candidate
* 5 years of applicable experience. * Bachelor''s in appropriate discipline or equivalent relevant work experience. * Strong skills with MS Visio for network diagramming. * Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and their associated applications (RSLogix 5/500/5000) and how they integrate into a common network infrastructure * Cisco CCNA or CCIE certifications. * Building business cases based on sound designs and recommendations, and selling them at the stakeholder (VP and/or C-Level) * Telecommunications principles, voice, wireless and data services and applications (Cisco Call Manager). * Networking principles and equipment, Cisco hardware platforms, MPLS technology; VOIP over Ethernet. * Network security technologies to Include Firewalls, Intrusion Detection (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and their associated devices (Checkpoint, F5). * Cisco Security Systems to include technologies such as Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System (MARS), Cisco Prime and Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) systems. * Maintenance and support of Wireless Network technology and infrastructure (ISE). * Network monitoring tools (Netscout, HP OpenView, Packet analyzers, etc). * Maintenance and support of Corporate Telephony and Voice Mail Systems. * Structured cabling. * Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
