Cheese Product Development Manager

Leprino Foods’ history dates to over 65 years ago, when the Leprino family first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in Denver. We’ve grown a bit since then. Today, we are the largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose in the world, and a leading producer of whey protein. Still owned by the Leprino family, we’ve set our sights to become the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.”

For our Denver, CO corporate headquarters we are seeking a Cheese Product Development, Manager on our R&D Team to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!

* Be an effective functional leader at LFC, including team leadership, cross functional leadership, and initiative/project management. Actively lead the processes for performance management, training and developing employees and engagement. * Oversee the efficient and effective deployment of Product Development resources to develop and commercialize new Cheese Products in driving corporate strategy and goals. * Prevent Problems Before They Happen through training, continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities. * Improve the Company ROIC via increased productivity, asset utilization, waste reduction and margin enhancement. * Be able to travel 40%, both domestic and international

**You Have (Minimum Qualifications):** * A Bachelor’s Degree, in food technology, food science, or dairy science. * Four (4) years of experience in a leadership role managing technical individuals. * Six (6) years in a product development position (food or beverage). **We Hope You Have (Preferred Qualifications):** * Master’s Degree in food technology, food science, or dairy science discipline. * Eight (8) years in a product development position (dairy ideal) * Six (6) years of prior experience in a Product Development leadership role.
