We have an immediate opportunity in our New York office for a Financial Planner. The Financial Planner is responsible for providing comprehensive and proactive financial planning advice to a book of clients that they manage in partnership with the Sales Relationship Manager. Their main focus is assisting clients with accomplishing a range of financial goals including investment allocation, income and estate tax minimization strategies, insurance reviews and cash flow management in line with the client’s stated goals and objectives. Our clients place their trust in Lenox Advisors to provide them with high quality financial planning advice to achieve their personal financial goals and this incumbent delivers this service to their assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional client experience by managing all aspects of each client’s financial strategy and provide advice to help the client achieve their financial goals (30-60 accounts on average)
  • Execute financial planning action items after client review meetings with the support and oversight of a Financial Planning Associate.
  • Communicate planning ideas in regular client meetings regarding insurance planning, retirement planning, estate planning and asset management to clients, pertinent to their needs.
  • Proactively contact clients to insure timely completion of open financial planning strategies
  • Write financial planning text for client presentations based on their current financial situation and recommendations that fit the client’s needs
  • Review the client’s current financial situation and be aware of opportunities to refer Lenox CFO clients to other Lenox departments including Asset Management, Insurance and Group Benefits
Ideal Candidate
  • You will have a bachelor’s degree and have completed your CFP designation or have equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working with a large client base with direct client interaction on financial planning matters required.
  • Investment management or income tax experience is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills are crucial to success.
  • You must be good at communicating clearly with clients verbally and in writing.
  • You will be team oriented and will maintain positive working relationships with client’s third party advisors as well as internal client relationship managers.
  • The ideal candidate will embrace technology as a catalyst to improve processes and efficiencies.
