Summary

The position is responsible for accurately handling day-to-day accounting processes and financial information, including monthly and quarterly close processes. The position will record, and reconcile financial transactions, investigate and resolve issues, and perform analysis that is used in the compilation of statutory and regulatory financial reports. The role will also support management on strategic and tactical special projects as they arise. The position is expected to have substantial knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical application in an internal corporate accounting environments .

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of well-supported, complex accounting-related journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of well-supported account reconciliations to ensure integrity of account balances. Researches and proposes resolution for discrepancies or identified issues.
  • Preparation of detailed flux analyses month-over-month and actual versus budget.
  • Participates in documentation, performance and testing of key controls as required by Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Assists or prepares schedules to support regulatory, statutory, or management reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Serve as primary contact for financial issues involving the assigned sections.
  • Prepares information for external auditors.
  • Analyzes processes and procedures; proposes and implements enhancements and improvements.
  • Provides support for various accounting and finance projects, as needed.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent
  • 3 – 6 years’ experience in accounting. Big 4 public accounting experience a plus.
  • CPA certification or working toward a CPA certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP Systems.Oracle Fusion experience a plus.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Strong analytical skills along with sound judgment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Extreme attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and work with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
