Wireless System Engineer

Leidos has a career opening for a Wireless System Engineer in Ft. Meade, MD. In this position you will support the Computer Network Operations mission, providing wireless systems engineering expertise.

* Analyze wireless user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements related to mobile devices * Analyze wireless-based systems requirements for mobile systems and lead design and development activities for mobile systems * Provide wireless technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations * Develop and maintain wireless metrics to show deployments, trending, and discovery to collection transition metrics * Develop system wireless architecture and system design documentation such as use cases, end-to-end architecture diagrams that support the use cases. Identify mission gaps in preparation for operational testing and deployments. * Guide wireless system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management, system integration, and test plans for deployment * Interact with the Government regarding wireless SE technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts * Retain ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the SE area of responsibility * Communicate with other program personnel, Government overseers, and senior executives

* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience and 20 years of experience or Master’s in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and 18 years of experience or High School and 24 years of relevant experience. * Five (5) years of DoDAF experience. * Five (5) years of Tactical SIGINT experience. * Previous experience working with wireless systems (REQUIRED). * Excellent organizational and communication skills (REQUIRED). * Position requires an active TS Clearance with Poly * Previous experience working with TAO systems (HIGHLY DESIRED).
