Staff Accountant - Materials

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger and prepares managerial and financial reports. The Staff Accountant will contribute to the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual closings of the general ledger in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP. This position will also respond to accounting questions and issues and communicate the responses to other functional areas and operations.

**Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:** * Deliver results individually and as part of the accounting team in a fast paced, high performance culture. 2. Meet or exceed standards of excellence established for the department. 3. Close the books in an accurate and timely fashion on a monthly basis. 4. Distribute required reports and provide analysis/support as needed on a monthly basis. 5. Complete the balance sheet reconciliation for assigned accounts on a monthly basis. 6. Maintain adequate controls and perform periodic audits to ensure compliance. 7. Complete ad hoc projects at the request of the Accounting Manager.

**Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 2. Minimum of 3.0 GPA (Major) required 3. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
