Shipping Supervisor

Lehi Valley Trading Company is a family owned business based in East Mesa. We specialize in snack food wholesale, private labeling and retail brands. We have nearly 30 years of experience in the food industry and manufacture many of our items such as granola, popcorn, brittle and trail mix at our facilities.

Our Shipping team works closely with our Production team to ensure the proper and timely shipment of every order that leaves our warehouses. The ideal candidate will enjoy working alongside their team in accomplishing these goals and welcomes the opportunity to take care of their team and department’s needs.

* Assists manager in shipping duties plus coordinates and directs shipping for all outgoing product. * Prioritizes tasks and reviews daily work orders; determines priority of orders to be shipped; locates any missing sales orders; assigns work to team members. * Oversees timely shipment of product in an efficient manner; ensures orders are correct and meet company quality standards; promotes safety by creating and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and ensuring that all food safety and OSHA standards are met.. * Analyzes customer's sales order factoring in weight and product type; rates with various freight companies to determine which will be the most cost effective. * Assists with scheduling trucking companies * Prepares boxes, pallets, checks labels, shrink wraps pallets as needed, and checks boxes to match to bill of lading, etc. in order to properly prepare all shipments * Assists walk-in customers * Assists in maintaining equipment * Promotes safety through workplace procedures

* H.S. Diploma or GED * Must be able to obtain a Forklift Certification (offered in-house) * Reliable and trustworthy * Safety oriented * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. minimum unassisted and perform other physical requirements such as bending, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling and repetitive hand, arm and leg movements * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Manage time wisely & able to adjust priorities * Positive attitude * Great work ethic * Good mathematical skills * Good verbal skills-- must be able to read and write in English
