Quality Technician

Leggett & Platt, Inc. is looking for a Quality Technician for our Porter International branch in Carthage, MO. You will be tasked with improving the quality of materials and machinery as well as implement quality procedures to evaluate incoming raw materials. You'll work closely with the Procurement, Production, and Inventory departments to ensure materials are approved and/or replaced in a timely manner. Furthermore, you’ll work closely with the Service Department, assisting in machine service requests and helping to provide timely resolutions.

- Audit materials to print specifications - Notify vendors and necessary departments when materials do not pass inspection - Implement/improve processes for tracking vendor performance and quality data - Serve as Engineering Change Request Liaison between Production and Engineering Departments - Assist Service Department with service requests - Work closely with other departments in order to develop new quality processes and improve overall quality of machines and materials sold

- 3+ years implementing quality inspections and process improvements - Experience in implementing/maintenance of a Quality Management System - Superior written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
