Summary
Leggett & Platt is seeking an experienced and talented Electrical Technician to join our thriving Adjustable Bed Group in Lenexa, KS. If you are a natural self-starter and have a passion for testing electronic systems, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities
* Assist engineers in the development and testing of new electronic systems for Adjustable Bed Bases * Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to test new hardware designs and validate compatibility with existing systems * Perform electrical circuit prototyping, breadboard construction and troubleshooting including reading/following schematics and layout drawings to identify solder and assembly problems and correcting problems with assistance * Operate basic and advanced lab test equipment to test and troubleshoot test failures, including using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meter, spectrum analyzer, and logic analyzers * Set up and execute product test plans and provide detailed test reports over widely varying environmental conditions with assistance * Perform basic PCB and unit modifications including soldering, calibrating, aligning, and/or modifying circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance and learn skills for handling more difficult hardware modifications
Ideal Candidate
* Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering Technology or relevant electronics/technical field * Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience * Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult troubleshoot issues * Must exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others * Excellent time management and follow-up skills * Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, experience with NI Labview or similar a plus * Proficient in PCB rework, soldering SMT components, wire harnesses
