Summary
The successful Search Engine Marketing Manager will drive increased revenue and profit from search marketing through traffic acquisition, optimizing spend and increasing conversion rates. He/She will use and extend LegalZoom tools to track site performance, traffic, sales and ROI in order to understand and improve campaign performance. The job requires excellent computer, Excel and Internet skills, and strong project management with an understanding of online media. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty of the job outlined below, and to accept special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
**Optimization Strategies** * Identify and implement strategies for increasing traffic through PPC search optimization * Conducting research and reports on key developments and SEM industry news * Experienced with online tracking and analytics tools (Google Adwords and Analytics) * Tracking and Reporting of all SEM media activities * Continually monitor media buys to maximize traffic and sales * Analyze website strategies and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the media mix * Create and review daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for multiple online sites and promotions **PPC Account Management** * Extensive understanding of the Pay-Per-Click SEM marketplace * Categorize, organize, and refine keyword lists and segmentation * Ability to write adcopy and perform A/B creative testing * Bid management tool experience * Kenshoo, Marin, Search Ignite, Search Force, etc. * Holistic knowledge of SEM space and match type / key word dimensions across all devices. * Self-directed when faced with support issues
Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years experience in PPC and SEM * In-depth knowledge of pay-per-click advertising. * Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Math, Computer Science, MIS, Business, English, Journalism, Advertising, or Communications * Proficient in the use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc… – Self-directed when faced with support issues * Knowledge and experience with HTML and advanced Excel (pivot tables, V Lookups, etc.) * Excellent verbal communication skills * An ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment * Demonstrated ability to manage details, efficient work habits, and overall flexibility * Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines * Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to accept interruptions as part of the routine * Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
