The Senior Back End Web Developer handles the major day-to-day and project-level development for one of the company’s projects. This is a senior-level position. It is an individual contributor role that has the capacity to become a management position. It is not an application development job.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
To write high-level back-end code for project-specific websites To maintain support and ensure stability for those websites To write clean, well-designed code and to document that code according to company processes To contribute to idea, tactic and strategy creation related to back-end development To uphold a standard of excellence in Web development
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to work at least a 45-hour work week, Monday through Friday, in an office setting Ability to communicate and work collaboratively Ability to transform the ideas of others to functional web design Ability to self-manage, drive initiatives and execute tasks to completion Talent for prioritizing Willingness to embrace change
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years’ experience in back end Web development
- Demonstrated mastery of PHP
- Expert with command line Unix
- Expert in working in a LAMP stack
- Expert with MySQL
- Expert with version control (Git)
- Expert with WordPress or code design of CMS
- Strong proficiency in JQuery/Javascript
- Knowledge of CSS & HTML
- Experience using grid-based CSS Frameworks
- Time-management skills, ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Ability to function in a fast-pace, always changing work environment
- Excellent creative and collaboration skills
- A desire to be epic
PREFERRED
- An individual with a strong passion for building and improving websites.
- An individual with some level of management experience.
- Someone who likes to work hard and play hard
