Summary
In this position you will Provide Mechanical Engineering support for the Hot Strip Mill.
Responsibilities
* Focus on one of the following systems: Reheat Furnaces, Down Coilers, Finishing Mill or Roughing Mill.
* Improve Reliability Engineering practices.
* Perform Root Cause Analysis of equipment failures and major breakdowns.
* Predictive Maintenance of equipment.
* Propose solutions for repeat equipment failures and unplanned downtime events.
* Stay abreast of ISO 9001 and related quality systems.
Ideal Candidate
* BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 2+ years of engineering experience in a continuous process environment (preferably in a steel industry Hot Strip Mill.)
* Knowledge of ISO standards.
