Ophthalmic Technician/Patient Advocate

LasikPlus is proud to be a second generation family-owned and operated LASIK provider. Currently led by Craig P.R. Joffe and founded in 1995 by Dr. Stephen N. Joffe and his wife Sandra, our goal has always remained the same – to provide our patients with amazing care and customer service while offering industry-leading affordability.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated sales/front desk associate to assist with educating our patients on LasikPlus procedures. Applicants must be friendly, outgoing and passionate; we will train you on the rest of the requirements.

* Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. * Greet patients, maintain records, and schedule follow-up appointments. * Ensure confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records. * Provide quality patient care, excellent communication, and customer service care to convert patients seeking Lasik into appointments. * Schedule Lasik procedures by verifying times with patients, preparing charts, handling pre-admission and consent forms. * Counsel patients on their financing/payment options. * Perform various pre/post op exams. * Counsels patients by providing information about treatment, use of drops, drugs, and questions about surgery. * Prepare patients for treatment and assists ophthalmologist in surgery with microkeratome and/or laser operation. * Assists with other duties in the center as necessary.

* Effective written and oral communication skills are a must! * 2 years high end retail sales experience is strongly preferred. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Strong computer skills. * Open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
