Responsibilities
Landor Associates is seeking a Designer to explore and conceptualize design options and solutions that maintain Landor's vision and creative beliefs- 'great ideas expertly and beautifully crafted and delivered with rigor and flair'. The Designer will work either independently or in conjunction with Design Directors or Senior Designers, evaluate design options, develop and push to find 'big ideas' based on design strategy and the creative brief. This position will be located in the San Francisco office. - Understanding /awareness of the local aesthetic and culture when creating local and global brands, e.g. type, color issues, symbols etc for regions. - Coordinates projects with outside resources to facilitate production of deliverables - Ensures all correspondence, materials, presentations, proposals, etc., seen by prospective and existing clients are error-free, of highest quality and always relevant to the client's issues - Partners effectively with all departments to ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality deliverables that address all relevant prospective clients requirements - Communicates findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner in written, oral and presentation forms - Shares and imports best practices and resources with peers within broader Landor network - Conducts conceptual exploration, including drawing, sketching, research and thumbnails. - Establishes directions and design solutions; ensures implementation of directions from concept through production. - Handle multiple projects/tasks at one time - Evaluate and contribute to developing and writing competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans. - Communicate strategy to cross-functional audiences to unique on-strategy deliverables that meet client needs. - Present design solutions to the client - Helps with project planning and organization - Monitors timeline and deadlines
Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in a similar environment and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related field. - Must have a passion for design. Must be an excellent communicator. - Should have excellent technical skills, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign 3D programs. - Should have familiarity with new media software applications such as Flash, After Effects, Premiere, FinalCut , Dream Weaver. Knowledge of art materials, fabrication techniques, printing process and press runs. - Effective communication skills, written and verbal. Evidence of strategic and creative vision that supports client goals. Evidence of an understanding of consumers and competition.
