Graphic Designer

LandDesign is an award-winning design firm offering urban design, planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture solutions to public, private, and federal sector clients across the globe.

A Graphic Designer with 1+ years experience to join our Charlotte office as part of the internal creative team. The ideal candidate is an excellent designer with a creative and strategic mind. This position will be responsible for creating and/or conceptually contributing to a wide variety of communications projects including but not limited to: branding + identity systems, marketing collateral, project reports, posters, data visualization, web + multimedia, and environmental graphics.

• Able to prepare files for both electronic and print usage.

• Select appropriate production media and materials

• inspect proofs for accuracy and adhere to appropriate production standards. The position involves working with internal and external clients through the entire design process from conceptualization, planning, design, and production.

• Bachelors degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
• 1+ years professional design experience required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (verbal + written)
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Able to work under pressure with unfailing attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, easy to work with, and open to ideas and suggestions
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Web design and coding experience is preferred, WordPress or similar (Basic HTML/ CSS)
• Video Editing skills a plus.
• Strong portfolio required- polished portfolio should demonstrate experience with a variety of media and expert knowledge of design: layout, color theory, typography, etc.
