Project Engineer

The project engineer possesses strong management skills and the ability to make complex technical analysis. Ability to motivate and teach subordinates. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial utilities, repair and construction processes, and industrial equipment. Possess the ability to organize processes and systems to promote efficiency.

**Experience-Education Required:** Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution/University with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing with a focus in high speed, CPOG/ Food / Beverage manufacturing processing. **Competencies – Skills Required:** * Extensive industrial maintenance experience with knowledge of industrial equipment, controls, and utilities, Instruct, train, and evaluate performance of subordinates. * Plan and administer preventative maintenance program providing technical analysis of systems and equipment. * Recommend and design new equipment. * Engineer and supervise installation and startup of plant capital projects with knowledge of Control maintenance parts inventory and approve parts and materials requisitions. * Understand the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements. * Comply with appropriate written procedures and work instructions and keeping legible records. -Work to achieve established plant quality objective. * Must have strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry skills; ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities; demonstrated written communication skills; capacity for consistently meeting deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects; solid organization and detail orientation, and excellent follow-through skills. * Technical/professional knowledge and skills, building a successful team, coaching, decision making, facilitating change, managing conflict, aligning performance for success, initiating action, planning and organizing, delegating and follow-up. * Promotes Land O'Lakes values. * Safety is our number one priority - must be able to foster a safe workplace. * Promotes integrity in all business activities. * Recognizes the need for improvements and manages implementation of change. * Fosters collaboration and teamwork, gains support and commitment from within the department. * Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented. * Handles multiple demands, assisting department in prioritization of duties. * Recognizes what customers want and delivers high quality products at all times. * Is fiscally responsible and finds ideas to improve Land O'Lakes resources.
