Summary
Schedule dock appointments for inbound freight on trucks making deliveries to Kroger Distribution Centers (DC’s) and manufacturing plants. Arrange for pickup and delivery appointments for Kroger dedicated fleets, load tracking of late deliveries, and diverting inbound freight overflow to other DC’s. Interact with procurement, suppliers, shipping & receiving, carriers and the Kroger DC’s. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
Responsibilities
* Schedule inbound deliveries and pickups for Kroger DC’s and manufacturing plants * Audit freight payment process for accuracy and timeliness through current freight payment systems * Plan and schedule fleet pickups at vendor locations * Perform end-of-day administration * Communicate regularly with various customers such as procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, shipping and receiving, carriers and Kroger DC’s * Ability to work and be productive in a team oriented environment * Capable of working in a fast paced, intense environment and meet timelines * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

**Minimum Position Qualifications:** * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Displays confidence, patience, discretion, good judgment, strong decision making and problem solving skills * Must have the ability to adapt to frequent change * Ability to work weekends, nights, overtime and holidays on a regular basis * Must be organized and detail oriented * Level 13 – Basic customer service skills * Level 14 – Must be able to perform freight audits **Desired Previous Job Experience:** * Knowledge of Distribution/Logistics operations * Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs * Kroger On-line Purchasing and Inventory system applications * Exhibit superior customer service and phone etiquette skills **Education Level:** * High School Diploma/ GED Required **Required Certifications/Licenses:** * None
