REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

We have an opportunity for an entry-level Regional Account Manager for the Northeast region based out of our Jericho, New York office. This person manages multiple customer relationships and constructs profitable trade deals between generators and consumers of recycled commodities (paper, cardboard, newspaper, plastic). In this field-based position, the Regional Account Manager meets with consolidation facilities, industrial facilities, CPG distribution centers, etc. to source material and also with mills and manufacturing to sell the material.
- Use entrepreneurial thinking and a trading mentality to identify and analyze new business opportunities.
- Create and effectively present marketing strategies to clients.
- Secure long term contracts with suppliers and customers (recycled commodity consuming mills).
- Use industry knowledge and trader skills to negotiate profitable buy/sell price.
- Demonstrate economic and critical thinking skills through the sales negotiation process.
- Develop, expand and retain profitable accounts.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction.
- Maintain a sense of urgency to close sales.
- Strong desire to succeed and to learn and apply knowledge to develop a profitable sales clientele.
- Maintain a strong a positive attitude and be self-motivated to succeed.
- Provide innovative ideas from creation to implementation.
- Drive change within company and with customers.
- Perform duties assigned to direct report and teammates
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or higher
- A minimum of 1 years of sales experience
- Willing and able to travel overnight approximately 10-20%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with a wide latitude to negotiate price.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
