Summary
Georgia-Pacific in Allendale, SC is seeking a Maintenance Planner to improve work force productivity and quality. These objectives are achieved by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. This position also includes planning, scheduling and coordination of all planned maintenance activities performed at the site.
Responsibilities
* Long-range planning involving regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources * Short-range planning and scheduling * Job Screening for upcoming maintenance projects * Analyzing job requirements and components to ensure efficiency * Precision Planning with attention to detail * Purchase requisitions and required materials * Partnering with Maintenance Department to ensure staffing and other needs are met * Planning and scheduling for major and minor plant shutdowns * Develop a Planner reference systems including a file of Planned Job Packages for recurring jobs, standard job tasks plus labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment. * Identifies recommendations and or areas for improvements. * Maintains essential records and files from which management reports are prepared and distributed.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * A minimum of three (3) years' experience in Planning in a manufacturing environment * Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Project * Experience with a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) **Preferred Qualifications:** * Associates degree or higher * Bachelor's degree in Business * Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** * Ability to work with an awareness of safety for yourself and others * Ability to work in a team environment * Ability to develop others and share knowledge/experiences * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Knowledge of a manufacturing environment
