Chemist - GP Chemicals

We currently have a Chemist opening in our Quality Department at our Crossett, Arkansas chemical plant. This role works with members of our organization to improve product quality and create products involved in everyday life

• QA/QC testing on Resin and Tall Oil products
• Perform equipment maintenance for the QA lab and production labs including calibrations
• Training operators on applicable analytical methods
• Perform receiving/ inspection analysis on in-coming raw materials
• Issuance of Certificates of Analysis (COA's) for products shipped
• Help meet or exceed quality goals
• Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Willingness to work rotating shifts
• Willingness to work in manufacturing plant setting
• Proficiency with MS Office products including Excel (spreadsheet analysis), Outlook (calendar management and email), and Word (document creation and editing)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science related discipline

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 3 years of quality lab experience
• Environmental compliance/ regulations knowledge
