Summary
The Sr. BA will manage Kinnser’s Industry Leading Home Health solution. They will serve as a product specialist in understanding Kinnser customers’ workflow requirements and translating them into detailed software requirements for Kinnser’s applications. This will require collaboration with internal stakeholders and external customers. As a Sr. BA, this person will be ultimately responsible for conveying the vision and functional elements necessary to deliver on the product strategy and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Within the product development team, the Sr. BA will also be responsible for prioritizing the product backlog. This role will be embedded within a team of software engineers, QA analysts, and UI analysts, doing whatever is necessary to build the best product possible. This is an Austin-based position and will require occasional travel. * Works with Product Managers, Engineering and QA resources to understand Kinnser’s product strategy, roadmap and priorities * Works with internal stakeholders and Kinnser customers to analyze and document customer business problems related to Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty reporting needs * Prioritizes the product backlog during planning meetings * Develops prototypes to validate customer reporting requirements * Creates user stories in the product backlog to support development of Kinnser applications * Works with Kinnser development and project management teams to clarify user story acceptance criteria during a sprint * Provides analysis and acceptance criteria for Scrum and Kanban requirements * Serves as a technical resource to use various data to drive product development and backlog * Serves as primary data analyst for product team * Maintains high availability to the product development team throughout the lifecycle of every sprint * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or Clinical-related degree (or equivalent experience in Home Health / Healthcare Industry or Application Software-related business analyst) * Experience in Healthcare IT EMR/EHR workflows preferably in post-acute space. * Ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyze, and document information * Adept at understanding customer needs and analyzing those needs across customer base to identify the best solution * Experience with Kanban, Scrum, or other agile development methodologies * Ability to translate business and technical requirements into the form of Epics and User Stories * Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels * Demonstrable analytic reasoning or quantitative analysis * Knowledge and experience with low & high fidelity mock-up tools, HL7, and/or SQL. * Familiarity with IT systems, database design, and data structures
