Summary
As a member of a small internal infrastructure team, the network administrator supports the HP Switch environment and Cisco firewall, and assists the IS Manager with Windows server management, SQL Server administration and storage infrastructure to support the business needs of the company. This includes daily administration, life cycle replacements, upgrades, documentation, and problem resolution to accomplish goals.
Responsibilities
* Support the HP network switch environment and Cisco firewall. This includes switch replacements, modifications and change management to ensure overall network security and reliability * Assist with the administration of the Windows environment including system stability, integrity, and troubleshooting * Perform hardware and operating system upgrades to the Windows servers * Assist with maintenance and configuration of Storage Area Networks * Assist with the maintenance and support of multiple SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS instances * Stay current on technologies and best practices in order to make recommendations to the IS Manager * Participation in rotating off-hours and weekend on-call duties are required

This includes switch replacements, modifications and change management to ensure overall network security and reliability * Assist with the administration of the Windows environment including system stability, integrity, and troubleshooting * Perform hardware and operating system upgrades to the Windows servers * Assist with maintenance and configuration of Storage Area Networks * Assist with the maintenance and support of multiple SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS instances * Stay current on technologies and best practices in order to make recommendations to the IS Manager * Participation in rotating off-hours and weekend on-call duties are required **Minimum Job requirements** * Quick learner, high energy, positive attitude, adaptive, possessing a desire to grow, initiative and commitment to continual improvement. * Have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines * Effective communication (written & verbal), team work, and collaboration skills * Ability to perform typical advanced server and database administration duties including server migration, database restores and applications upgrades * Excellent organizational and project management skills including ability to organize time and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or project * Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy * Committed to providing excellent service and support to IS customers * Experience with SANS and Virtual Servers a plus **Education Experience** * 2+ years' experience with managed switch technology * 3+ years' administration experience in a Windows * 100+ user multi-platform environment * 1+ years' experience SQL server DBA experience preferred **Physical requirements** * Regularly sit for extended periods of time * Use computer equipment including keyboard, mouse and monitor 4-8 hours daily * Ability to lift computer equipment weighing up to 25 lbs * Ability to infrequently lift computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
