Windows Desktop and Deployment Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Windows Desktop and Deployment Specialist in Nashville, TN. The Windows Desktop and Deployment Specialist is responsible for providing desktop support and deploying computers for end users.

• Performs general administrative tasks utilizing Active Directory including user account and access management
• Provides desktop support for company employees and contractors
• Ensures automated backup and anti-virus services are running correctly on end user machines
• Interacts with end users and management for application and system issues
• Follows documented processes and procedures for job tasks
• Utilizes a service desk and ticketing system for tracking issues to resolution

Requirements:

• Must have three years of direct experience in desktop support
• Must have extensive exposure to Microsoft operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8
• Must have a thorough understanding of Active Directory
• Must have strong communication abilities and well-developed customer interaction skills
• Must possess highly-developed troubleshooting skills
• Must have the ability to follow specific instructions, policies and procedures
• Must have experience in using a service desk ticketing application such as BMC Remedy or Service Manager
• Must possess a strong sense of ownership for assigned issues and focus to efficiently carry issues through to timely resolution/completion
• Must be able to create and maintain company and customer documentation
• Should possess the ability to estimate volume of work based on time and resources given a set of requirements

Preferred:

• Experience in working in a healthcare environment
• Industry certifications
