Kforce has a Warren, Michigan (MI) client that is seeking an Engineering Applications Engineer for a direct-hire position.The successful applicant will evaluate customer drive systems and apply / customize products to meet the customers' functional requirements. The applicant will interface with customers to assess the true needs of their rotating machinery and assure that performance requirements and reliability standards are met. * Review customer inquiries; apply and customize current products to meet their needs; solve customer problems * Create engineered proposals and quotations for company products * Work with outside sales force as technical resource to close deals and resolve product operational issues * Make visits with global sales force to customer for service issues and technical presentations * Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the company; network with customers to build strong relationships and attain better knowledge of market, applications, competition and trends * Represent customers' interests in-house and assure that other departments are aligned with product performance and customer satisfaction goals * Receive, review and verify the requirements of project purchase orders and compare against the quote / proposal; amend contracts for technical and commercial accuracy as needed * Support operations on production issues including final witness testing arrangements * Calculate and evaluate load and stress calculations, specific to company product lines using proven tools, and also develop new analysis as needed * Identify requirements, develop tests programs, conduct test personally in laboratory setting or arranging with other departments for execution * Work on long term engineered product development projects

* BSME, BS Industrial Engineering, or BS Industrial Technology degrees preferred * Minimum of 2 years' experience in related power transmission products * Complex analytical thinking is a must in this position * Requires good communication skills and hands-on mechanical aptitude
