The Senior Project Manager is the administrative leader of a large, complex project or of multiple projects and project teams, responsible for planning, organizing, contract/subcontract administration, schedule costs and quality monitoring. This individual is expected to develop, nurture and enhance relationships with the clients and contractors with whom we work.
- Provides technical expertise for development, design and execution of capital expense and maintenance projects in a timely and efficient manner
- Hire, manage and supervise any third party contractors for capital projects including construction management firms, design and engineering firms, and other related parties
- Develops, designs, performs cost estimation for capital projects per process design
- Drive all project budgeting and scheduling for capital projects, upgrades, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to meet the design and performance criteria for new equipment and process lines
- Work with Management team on specifying, negotiating and purchasing equipment for future expansions
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, service, laboratory or firm
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; mechanical engineering preferred
- Minimum 10-15 years of related engineering experience required including mining and plant process experience
- Experience managing capital expenditure projects in excess of $30M
- Project management, business development and proposal development experience
- Proven track record of contract negotiation/management
