Software Development Engineer

This position is part of Keysight's Central Research Laboratory Software Research Program. As a Software Development Engineer within Keysight Labs, your goal will be to support our Computer Science Researchers by helping to build prototypes. You'll help our researchers as they invent the next generation of software and algorithms that will drive our measurement systems, to meet the incredible performance requirements our customers demand.

You will work as part of a small team of researchers and developers responsible from initial project idea generation, through technical design and architecting, through to software prototyping across a variety of technologies and platforms. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, and the motivation to deliver software systems that enhance end-user satisfaction by allowing greater measurement insights, and tasks to be accomplished more effectively.

**Required Qualifications:** * M.S. in Computer Science or related field with an emphasis on machine learning and/or artificial intelligence * Strong computer science and mathematics grounding, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms and computer architectures. * Strong GUI implementation skills, WPF * Performance test planning, setup and execution * Experience with Visual Studio * Proficiency developing in one or more languages such as C#, C++, Python, MATLAB or Java * Self starting, requiring minimal supervision with strong problem solving skills * Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills **Desired Qualifications:** * Background in electronics and electronic test equipment * Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL databases, etc.
