Responsibilities
· Process human urine and fluid specimens · Access specimens and verify information on requisitions and specimen matches · Maintain specimen integrity · Accurately enter appropriate information into the computer system · Bar code and aliquot specimens with appropriate speed and accuracy · Complete patient processing log · Work with patient records to transfer insurance and address info to the laboratory request form · Transfer fluids from one container to another for security of shipping · Prepare samples for shipping to the laboratory on a daily basis · File daily/monthly/annual records · Complete initial credentialing requirements and maintain annual updates · Handle patient medical records with complete confidentiality
Ideal Candidate
· High School diploma, GED or equivalent · Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy program with 0 – 2 years relevant experience · Basic Microsoft Suite knowledge and good Data Entry skills. · Flexibility to work Monday through Monday – Friday 2pm-5pm!
