Our client, an industrial conveyor manufacturer, is currently hiring a Mechanical Designer.They design, engineer and manufacture conveyors and conveyor components as well as turn-key systems. This position is Temporary to Hire. The right person will support in design process by identifying workable design solutions and generating associative drawings.

• Supporting development of new products and redesign existing products for cost-efficient and manufacturing friendly designs
• Supporting Engineers and Designers by maintaining parts, assemblies, Bills of Materials BOMS and corresponding drawings through Engineering Change Orders ECOS for multiple product lines
• Updating red-lined manufacturing drawings from engineering 3-d models, and updating manufacturing drawings per engineering mark ups

• 2 years minimum experience in designing/ drafting
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and how it relates to design
• 3d Cad knowledge with Inventor
• Working knowledge of heavy steel plate, hydraulic systems, and /or structural components preferred
• Sheet Metal Fabrication knowledge (Understanding of fabrication techniques such as forming, welding, press brakes, rolling and also parts, assemblies, drawings, sheet metal, cabling/harness routing, piping, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical drafting, dimensioning and tolerancing methods.
